Terms & Conditions + Studio Policies

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the J. Marie Lash & Beauty website and any bookings, services, or interactions with our studio. By accessing this website and/or booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.


1) Website Use & General Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of www.jmarielashbeauty.com (the “Site”). This Site is owned and operated by J. Marie Lash & Beauty (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The Site provides information about our services, policies, and booking options.

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and agree to abide by them at all times.

2) Booking Agreement

By booking any service with J. Marie Lash & Beauty, you agree to:

  • Follow our Studio Policies (below)

  • Provide accurate information during booking and intake

  • Disclose relevant health information (allergies, sensitivities, medications, medical eye conditions, etc.)

  • Arrive on time and adhere to salon etiquette for a safe and comfortable appointment

3) Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on our Site is the property of J. Marie Lash & Beauty and the Site’s creators. This includes, but is not limited to, images, text, logos, branding, documents, downloadable files, videos, educational content, and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content without written permission.

4) Service Results Disclaimer

Results vary from client to client due to natural lash health, growth cycles, lifestyle, skincare, medications, hormones, and aftercare compliance. Photos on this Site and on our social media are examples and do not guarantee identical results.

5) Studio Policies (Appointments, Payments, & Client Expectations)

A) Appointments & Scheduling:

  • Appointments are by reservation only and are subject to availability.

  • Please book the correct service. If you are unsure, contact us before booking.

  • We reserve time specifically for you. Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment.

B) Deposits & Payments:

  • A valid card may be required to secure all appointments.

  • Deposits (if applied) are non-refundable and go toward your service total.

  • Remaining balances are due at the time of service.

  • Prices are subject to change at any time.

C) Cancellation & No-Show Policy:

  • We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of the appointment may be charged a 50% fee of the scheduled service.

  • No-shows may be charged 100% of the scheduled service.

  • Repeated late cancellations/no-shows may require a deposit for future bookings or result in loss of booking privileges.

D) Late Policy:

  • Please arrive on time.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and will be treated as a late cancellation.

  • If we can still accommodate you, service time may be reduced and the full service price remains the same.

E) Fills, Retention, & Foreign Work:

  • Fills are maintenance appointments and must be booked within the recommended timeframe.

  • A fill requires 40% or more lash retention. If less than 40% remains, it may be charged as a full set.

  • Foreign fills (work from another artist) are accepted at our discretion and may require a removal/new set to maintain lash health and achieve consistent results.

F) Refunds & Redos:

  • No refunds are offered for services rendered.

  • If you have a concern, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment.

  • Adjustments are considered case-by-case and require that aftercare instructions have been followed.

  • Normal shedding is expected due to natural lash cycles and is not eligible for a complimentary redo.

6) Health & Safety Policy

A) Medical & Allergy Disclosure:

Clients are responsible for disclosing all allergies, sensitivities, medications, pregnancy status (if applicable), eye conditions, or prior reactions before the appointment.

B) Right to Refuse Service:

For your safety, we may refuse or stop service if we believe proceeding could risk your health (including signs of irritation, infection, or undisclosed contraindications). In these cases, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.

C) Aftercare Responsibility:

You are responsible for following proper lash aftercare. We are not responsible for premature shedding caused by:

  • Oil-based products or heavy eye creams

  • Excess steam/heat exposure (saunas, hot yoga, frequent steam rooms)

  • Rubbing/pulling/picking lashes

  • Improper cleansing or not cleansing lashes

  • Sleeping habits (face-sleeping) and friction

  • Hormonal shifts, medications, or illness

7) Guests, Children, & Studio Etiquette

To maintain a relaxing and safe environment:

  • Please arrive alone. No additional guests are permitted unless pre-approved.

  • No children are permitted at appointments.

  • Please silence your phone and keep noise minimal during your service.

  • We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

8) Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, including (but not limited to) repeated policy violations, inappropriate behavior, harassment, or situations that compromise safety, sanitation, or the client experience.

9) Limitation of Liability (Website & Services)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, J. Marie Lash & Beauty and its owners, contractors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Use of this Site

  • Booking or receiving services

  • Allergic reactions or sensitivities (including to adhesives or products), where proper disclosure was not made or where reactions occur despite best practices

  • Aftercare non-compliance or factors outside our control (e.g., medications, hormones, lifestyle)

10) Indemnification

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site and/or receiving services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless J. Marie Lash & Beauty and its owners, contractors, employees, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Site

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your failure to disclose relevant health information

  • Your failure to follow aftercare instructions

11) Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

12) Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable laws, that provision will be removed, and the remaining provisions will remain valid and enforceable.

13) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, services, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon posting.
